Staff Systems Safety Engineer

📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership to systems safety engineers, accountable for technical quality and
• Set technical direction, review work, and mentor engineers in the safety team.
• Author system-level safety architecture and functional safety concept.
• Serve as technical authority for safety trade-offs, residual risk, and architectural decisions.
• Author and maintain the safety case, including SOTIF argument.
• Perform system-level safety analyses, lead design reviews, and own deliverables where gaps exist.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years relevant experience, 7+ years in functional or system safety, with technical leadership
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or related
• Hands-on leadership of functional or system safety for complex robotic/autonomous products
• Deep expertise in hazard analysis, hierarchy of controls, safety functions, safety lifecycle under
• Experience with robot safety standards (ISO 10218, ANSI/A3 R15.06, R15.08, ISO 25785-1) and
• Experience mentoring safety engineers and working with notified bodies/NRTLs/third-party assessors.
