Staff Thermal Simulation Engineer

📋 Description

• Architect high-fidelity CFD and transient thermal models across micro- to macro-scales.
• Validate models against empirical data with test teams.
• Develop automated CFD workflows to optimize fluid routing, pressure drops, and cooling loops.
• Collaborate with electrochemical, mechanical, and power electronics teams to resolve thermal-fluid issues.
• Select modeling methods, mesh structures, and boundary conditions to identify hotspots.
• Standardize internal modeling workflows and conduct peer design reviews for simulation excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's + 8+ years, or Master’s with years of experience, or PhD in thermal-fluid sciences.
• Deep technical CFD expertise with Ansys Fluent, Star-CCM+, or Comsol Multiphysics.
• Strong knowledge of conjugate heat transfer, fluid dynamics, multiphase flow, and closed-loop cooling.
• Python or MATLAB for post-process, visualization, and automation of multi-physics data.
• Proven ability to translate complex simulation results into actionable system requirements.
• Ability to build cross-functional networks to align on multi-variable design trade-offs.
