Staff Wire Harness Engineer, Electrical

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Compliance teams to define harness requirements.
• Create and maintain 2D electrical schematics and harness drawings.
• Source materials and components from approved suppliers with procurement.
• Define ICDs between PCBA controllers and sensors/actuators.
• Route wire harness CAD with Poka Yoke and DFA considerations.
• Hands-on system bring-up and 5D/8D experience.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 7+ years in product development (energy storage or automotive a plus).
• Hands-on experience designing electro-mechanical systems and harnesses.
• 2D/3D PLM and harness design tools such as Zuken E3, SolidWorks, CATIA or NX.
• Strong knowledge of component ratings for product certification (UL/NEC).
• Familiarity with creating electrical schematics.
