Staff Wire Harness Engineer, Mechanical

📋 Description

• Lead LV & HV harness design from concept to production for large battery systems
• Lead cross-functional alignment among Mechanical, Electrical, Sensor, Harness, Structural, and Supply Chain
• Identify, evaluate, procure harness components for high-volume production
• Create 3D routing in CAD and generate final assembly drawings (Zuken)
• Collaborate with external suppliers and internal teams to take 3D designs to physical product
• Design harness for harsh environments (pollution, ingress protection)

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years harness mechanical design experience
• Knowledge of battery/high-voltage systems, EMC, CAN, LIN, Ethernet
• Proficient in SolidWorks for harness and mechanical design; basic simulations
• Strong fundamentals: thermal, vibration, durability, corrosion-prevention, materials
• Effective at multi-priority workload management and on-time delivery
• Detail-oriented with good documentation and reporting
