State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager

📋 Description

• Deliver income/franchise tax services: returns, research, memos, nexus, credits.
• Deliver sales & use tax services: registrations, compliance, nexus, refunds, audits.
• Lead the SALT practice and stay current on developments.
• Recruit, supervise, mentor, and develop staff.
• Grow new business and expand the client base by identifying needs and offerings.
• Excellent client communication; proficient with tax software.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor7s degree in Accounting; CPA/JD/CMI/EA preferred.
• 5+ years SALT tax consulting experience.
• Strong client service and communication; build relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities.
• Proficient with tax software and technology.
• Leadership/mentoring abilities in staff development.
