Substation Communications and Electrical Inspector

📋 Description

• Perform QA inspections on HV electrical, telecom, and facilities projects in the PNW & MT.
• Monitor contractor work for compliance with contract docs, specs, and submittals.
• Verify installation of HV equipment: substations, switchgear, transformers, grounding.
• Inspect communications systems: fiber, network, radio, SCADA, and shelters.
• Prepare detailed daily reports, weekly summaries, and deficiency logs.
• Document activities with photos and written observations.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in utility/industrial/high-voltage or related construction.
• Knowledge of HV electrical construction practices and equipment.
• Knowledge of communications infrastructure installation and testing.
• Ability to interpret drawings: plans, specs, HV diagrams.
• Experience with field inspections and construction documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; MS Office proficient.
