Supervisor, Medical Prior Authorization

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of Medication Authorization Specialists.
• Monitor workload to meet service level expectations.
• Conduct quality reviews and implement improvement plans.
• Train new staff and establish ongoing competency programs.
• Improve workflows with Product and Operations teams.
• Monitor authorization timelines and remove barriers to care.
• Escalate complex medical authorization cases when needed.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in medical benefit prior authorizations or specialty reimbursement.
• 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience supporting provider-administered specialty medications.
• Strong knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid processes.
• Experience with infusion therapies and related meds (oncology, rheumatology, etc.).
• Strong understanding of payer medical policies and clinical documentation requirements.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
