Supplier Development Engineer, Mechanical (Falcon & Dragon)

📋 Description

• Serve as technical POC for assigned parts; resolve supplier issues and mitigate risk.
• Root-cause issues on parts; implement changes with suppliers or SpaceX.
• Drive product improvements; update drawings to improve manufacturability.
• Create and disposition issue tickets; coordinate re-work or repairs.
• Become primary contact for supply chain defects; understand parts and processes.
• Collaborate with procurement to qualify suppliers and meet takt times.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 1+ years manufacturing/inspection in production.
• Machining operations experience: milling, turning, drilling.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
• Experience with supplier quality processes (PPAP, APQP, FAI).
• Onsite in Hawthorne, CA; travel up to 40-50%.
