System Executive Director, Health Information Management, Coding & Clinical Documentation Integrity

📋 Description

• Develop and execute health information management strategies, goals, and initiatives aligned with
• Oversee system-wide HIMS operations, including medical coding, clinical documentation integrity
• Establish key performance indicators, monitor operational results, and implement process
• Serve as the custodian of the legal health record, ensuring the accuracy, completeness
• Lead coding and CDI programs to improve documentation quality, support appropriate reimbursement
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and applicable federal and state regulations, accreditation standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field; master's degree strongly
• At least 10 years of experience in health information management, including 7 years in leadership
• Current RHIA or RHIT certification required
• Membership in AHIMA and CHIA required
• Extensive knowledge of HIMS operations, legal health records, release of information, medical
• Strong understanding of HIPAA, CMS, The Joint Commission, California Title 22, CMIA, FDA, and NIH
