System Performance Engineer, Consumer Devices

📋 Description

• Develop system performance benchmarks and evaluation methods.
• Profile and analyze performance across key use cases with profiling tools.
• Partner with engineering to identify bottlenecks and drive optimizations.
• Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for launch readiness and lifecycle performance.
• Measure metrics like responsiveness, memory, cold boot, stability, thermal and battery constraints.
• Investigate field performance regressions and drive fixes with data-driven analysis.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep experience shipping embedded/high-performance systems on Linux/Android/iOS.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or Rust and strong OS fundamentals.
• Track record shipping real-time systems under tight latency, power, and memory constraints.
• Expertise with profiling/debugging tools (Perfetto, GDB, LLDB, perf, ftrace, Instruments).
• Experience building instrumentation, analytics, and performance tuning frameworks.
• Familiarity with statistics and experimentation concepts (preferred).
