Tax Associate

📋 Description

• Prepare and review proforma and finalized tax returns for individuals, trusts, private foundations
• Assist with amended returns, tax notices, tax projections, and planning engagements.
• Analyze financial data and tax documents to identify tax-saving opportunities and improve tax
• Collaborate with financial advisors and clients to gather relevant information and support tax
• Research tax issues related to specific client situations, interpret applicable tax laws and
• Help ensure all work meets relevant compliance standards and internal quality requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business required, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• At least one year of experience in tax accounting, or a degree with a concentration in tax
• Foundational understanding of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Ability to interpret financial statements, asset transactions, tax documents, and other financial
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis tools.
• Experience with professional tax preparation software, preferably CCH Axcess or a comparable
