Tax Senior / Supervising Senior

📋 Description

• Prepare and review federal and multi-state income tax returns and related work papers
• Prepare complex client work and delegate entry-level tasks to staff accountants
• Own and organize workflow of client engagements to meet deadlines
• Identify tax issues and propose strategies to resolve them
• Research technical tax information
• Respond to and prepare correspondences to tax authorities
• Meet engagement timelines and budget guidelines; report status to partners, managers, and clients
• Develop strong relationships with professionals and clients
• Supervise engagement teams and staff/interns
• Coach and provide feedback to junior team members
• Train others on firm tax preparation software
• Participate in staff and senior trainings
• Ensure high-quality work product

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience depending on relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related major required
• Passed all CPA Exam sections; CPA licensure strongly preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Has proven experience in leading and supervising a team
• Ability to learn, teach, and supervise in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projects
• Has high attention to detail
