Tax Technology Specialist – Billing & Invoicing

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end invoicing compliance across global markets.
• Configure tax determination rules within billing platforms.
• Collaborate on scalable invoice templates meeting local requirements.
• Lead testing for invoice changes, upgrades, and new markets.
• Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies; escalate as needed.
• Develop and maintain a library of invoice scenarios and edge cases.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-3 years in tax tech or billing ops with invoicing focus.
• Hands-on experience with tax engines Vertex or Avalara integrated into billing.
• Familiarity with subscription billing platforms is a plus.
• Strong understanding of indirect tax regs (sales/use tax, VAT) related to invoice content.
• Experience collaborating with engineering/product on invoicing automation.
• Excel skills; SQL experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; translate tax requirements into specs.
