Team Lead Data Science (f/m/x)

📋 Description

• Lead the Energy Data Science team building forecasting systems for energy trading.
• Own short-term and long-term models and risk simulations.
• Hands-on leadership (~65% technical, ~35% leadership) with code/design reviews.
• Collaborate with Traders, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and Product.
• Drive forecasting roadmap including long horizon forecasts and probabilistic risk.
• Mentor and develop data scientists; hiring decisions and reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• University degree in CS, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years ML experience with time series forecasting or energy sector focus.
• 2+ years leading a data science team or multi-person project with people management.
• Python and SQL proficiency with strong software engineering fundamentals (testing, version control, CI/CD).
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ML models in production; hands-on with MLOps.
• Experience with cloud infra (Azure/AWS/GCP) and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake or similar) and PySpark/Dask for distributed processing.
