Team Lead PHP Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop payments and billing codebase and guide its direction
• Lead experiments and gateway integrations end-to-end
• Optimize payments for reliability, performance, and security
• Lead people: run 1:1s and PDPs, mentor, align team
• Maintain production payments and troubleshoot on-call rotation
• Collaborate with Product and Growth on payment initiatives
• Use AI-assisted development in daily work

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years backend experience; 1-2+ years leading a small team
• Strong PHP with Yii2 and/or Laravel
• Relational databases: MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Git and Docker expertise
• Software architecture design and testing discipline on high-load projects
• Payments or fintech domain experience
• Kubernetes, GitOps (ArgoCD), and CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
