📋 Description

• Own technical quality, architectural direction, and engineering standards within a product team.
• Role combines hands-on coding with leadership, contributing features and guiding best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager and Product Design Manager to align scope and delivery.
• Balance technical debt, platform improvements, and velocity to enable fast, reliable shipping.
• Mentor engineers, drive RFCs/Decision Logs, and set guardrails for quality and AI-first workflows.
• Hybrid role based in Melbourne with remote flexibility.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience shipping production software at scale, typically senior level or above.
• Track record owning architectural decisions and technical direction for a team.
• Experience enforcing engineering standards across code review, testing, and deployment.
• Strong debugging across services and mentoring capabilities.
• Product-minded with focus on customer outcomes; enthusiasm for agentic AI-first workflows.
• Must have: TypeScript/JavaScript, React or Angular, Node.js, AWS; nice-to-have MongoDB, React
