Telecommunications and Radio Frequency Engineer

📋 Description

• Perform telecommunications engineering studies and technical analyses for nationwide public safety
• Review wireless coverage maps, network documentation, performance metrics, and data to validate
• Analyze network coverage and capacity using on-air reports, drive tests, GIS, and engineering tools.
• Evaluate 4G LTE and 5G RAN performance, deployment, adoption, and usage data to inform decisions.
• Provide SME on RAN, wireless network architecture, coverage planning, capacity planning, and
• Review and assess network equipment integration, service activation testing, and implementation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or related
• 9+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering or related field.
• Equivalent experience considered with associate degree and 11 years, master’s and 7 years, or PhD
• Expert knowledge of wireless networks, including 4G LTE and 5G RAN, coverage/capacity planning, and
• Strong understanding of wireless infrastructure components (RRU, BBU, cell site routers).
• Experience with testing, analysis, troubleshooting methodologies.
