Thermal Engineer, Datastore Hardware

📋 Description

• Lead the thermal and mechanical architecture for in-house DFMs.
• Perform advanced thermal simulations with FloTHERM and Icepak to optimize temps.
• Drive simulation-to-test correlation by comparing models to lab data.
• Support system integration with ODM/JDM partners for thermal-mechanical integration.
• Partner with Product Engineering on DFx considerations for high-volume manufacturing.
• Own the thermal-mechanical design lifecycle from concept to sustaining.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience in product design or related engineering role
• Deep expertise in thermal simulation for electronics cooling using FloTHERM, Icepak, or equivalent CFD tools
• Proven ability to perform simulation correlation with lab data
• Strong 3D CAD skills with Pro/ENGINEER, Creo Parametric, or equivalent
• DFx considerations for high-volume manufacturing (tooling, material selection, design tradeoffs)
