Transmission System Planning Consultant

📋 Description

• Perform transmission system planning studies covering transient stability, power flow, transfer
• Work directly with clients to understand study objectives, establish methodologies, define
• Lead portions of project execution, including technical analysis, engineering activities, staffing
• Guide consultants, engineers, and analysts toward study objectives while ensuring practical
• Partner with project managers to oversee technical execution and maintain alignment between project
• Develop comprehensive study reports documenting assumptions, methodologies, analyses, results, and

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited program
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in electric utility operations, transmission planning
• Strong understanding of transmission system planning processes, electric transmission systems, and
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform transmission system planning studies and adapt
• Knowledge of transient stability, short-circuit and voltage analysis, production costing, risk
• Familiarity with NERC and FERC standards, as well as regional requirements, policies, and procedures
