📋 Description

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the Agency Underwriting Department
  • Establish, monitor KPIs and performance expectations
  • Analyze performance and implement corrective actions
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, staffing plans
  • Evaluate workload and capacity, recommend adjustments
  • Optimize workflows, lead process improvement initiatives

🎯 Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of mortgage underwriting experience with FHA/VA government loans
  • Current or prior DE/FHA underwriting authority
  • Current or prior VA/SARR underwriting authority
  • Supervisory/management experience in mortgage operations
  • In-depth knowledge of FHA Handbook 4000.1, VA guidelines
  • Strong understanding of agency underwriting standards, credit risk
