Underwriting Senior Analyst

📋 Description

• Assess the credit quality in terms of our business credit card customers' ability to repay
• Review bank statements and financial statements to underwrite Brex customers
• Handle intermediate-level underwriting escalations requiring deeper investigation into applicant
• Review existing underwriting processes and proactively identify and recommend improvements that
• Track and communicate key underwriting metrics (e.g., approval rates, turnaround time, loss rates)
• Build and maintain relationships with key partners across Risk, Sales, Engineering, and Product to

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field
• 1+ years of experience in underwriting, credit risk, financial analysis, or a related field
• Passionate about credit and underwriting decisions on commercial exposures for small to large
• Understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards and bank/financial statement analysis
• Familiarity with quantitative credit risk models, probability of default and loss given default
• Proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel, and Hex (or similar BI tools) for data extraction and
