Urgent Care Veterinarian

📋 Description

• Provide same-day care for sick and injured pets requiring prompt medical attention, diagnostics
• Manage urgent and borderline emergency cases, including acute gastrointestinal conditions
• Perform urgent surgical procedures, including wound repair, abscess drainage, and foreign-body
• Perform dentistry when needed
• Handle a diverse caseload including dogs, cats, and exotic pets (reptiles, birds, pocket pets)
• Participate in flexible scheduling including evening and weekend coverage, with no overnight shifts

🎯 Requirements

• DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree
• Valid New York veterinary license or ability to obtain one
• Prior clinical experience in general practice, urgent care, or emergency medicine
• Confidence performing routine and urgent surgical procedures
• Dentistry experience
• Ability to manage urgent and borderline emergency cases
