📋 Description

• Lead, develop, coach and mentor Okta’s global team of high-performing commercial attorneys and
• Serve as a point of escalation to provide executive-level negotiating expertise and guidance on
• Ensure that the delivery of legal services to Okta is within the letter and spirit of the law
• Evolve the delivery of legal services to Okta’s go to market team to be a data driven first
• Position the commercial legal team and Legal Department to be a leader in AI Agentic commercial
• Help build a world-class public sector commercial legal program and team

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney, negotiating and drafting
• 7+ years of in-house experience with a strong track record of building and managing legal teams
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear guidance for non-legal colleagues
• Deep experience scaling teams focused on practical, business-oriented results and scalable processes
• Familiarity with deal structures for regulated entities and foreign jurisdictions
• Strong collaborator and communicator with business and legal teams
