📋 Description

• Develop and execute an enterprise underwriting strategy aligned with growth, profitability, and
• Establish underwriting guidelines, risk tolerance frameworks, pricing methodologies, and governance
• Oversee underwriting profitability and loss ratio performance across relevant lines of business.
• Maintain pricing integrity for fully insured and self-funded medical plans, stop-loss, ancillary
• Monitor key underwriting metrics including hit ratios, margin performance, risk scoring accuracy
• Partner with Actuarial and Finance teams on rate setting, forecasting, risk pool analysis, and

🎯 Requirements

• Deep experience with both self-funded and fully insured health plan underwriting.
• Strong understanding of stop-loss, level-funded, ancillary, and specialty insurance products.
• Demonstrated experience with underwriting P&L responsibility and financial performance
• Strong knowledge of applicable federal and state healthcare regulations and insurance compliance
• Proven ability to develop, lead, and scale high-performing underwriting teams.
• Strong understanding of pricing, risk selection, loss ratios, renewals, and underwriting
