VoIP Engineer

📋 Description

• Carrier interconnectivity: Test, deploy, and maintain SIP with global carriers.
• System Integration: Collaborate with R&D to integrate SIP from SBC edge to voice core.
• Maintain Voice Infrastructure: Deploy and maintain core voice infrastructure, including SBCs and policy servers.
• Work Automation: Build and implement scripts to reduce operational burden.
• Documentation: Maintain Documentation as Code for SIP call flows and procedures.
• Advanced Observability: Lead troubleshooting with Empirix, Wireshark, SIPp, and HEPIC.

🎯 Requirements

• 2-3 years hands-on VoIP engineering in carrier-grade SIP.
• Expert SIP signaling (INVITE, BYE, etc.), SDP negotiation, RTP/RTCP.
• 1-3 years Python, Bash, Ansible, or GitHub for automation.
• Maintain/upgrading traditional SBCs (Ribbon) and open-source like Kamailio/OpenSIPS.
• Diagnostics with Empirix, Wireshark, SIPP, sngrep, Homer/HEP.
• Bonus points: carrier-to-carrier SIP interconnects.
