VP of Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Own the platform-engineering org and AI-native infra.
• Lead AI-native core: agents, LLM orchestration, retrieval, evals.
• Build and scale platform org with high standards.
• Serve as a player-coach, still coding; partner on architecture.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and cross-domain integration.
• Drive engineering culture: frontier tools, 10x engineer harness.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ yrs engineering; 4–6 yrs leadership at scaleups; scaled a platform/infra team.
• Domain: AI/agentic systems, LLM/ML infra, or conversational/voice AI at production scale.
• Preferred: ex-founder who scaled an AI-native/platform startup.
• Deep AI engineering fluency: LLMs, reliable agentic systems, infra concepts.
• Hands-on platform background: distributed systems, API design, cloud, prod AI ops; TS/Python.
• Still technical: reviews PRs, architecture calls; BS/BA in CS; MS/PhD a plus.
