VP Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Own strategy for Volta's platform software and evolution
• Translate product roadmap into platform roadmap and execute
• Make architectural calls to keep platform coherent as scope grows
• Build and scale platform engineering toward 50+ engineers across US/EU
• Structure org into compute, storage, control plane and APIs teams
• Own hiring: define requirements and close strong candidates

🎯 Requirements

• Track record building and scaling software org at VP level
• Executive engineering leadership with direction ownership
• Deep understanding of cloud service stack: virtualization, storage, networking
• Hardware-software interplay knowledge: GPU, fabric, storage
• Experience owning and evolving production systems
• Experience leading distributed org across regions/time zones
