📋 Description

  • Positions, aligns, and welds parts to form structures per blueprints.
  • Reads welding symbols and prepares joints per AWS D1.1.
  • Moves parts using hoists or cranes; uses GMAW equipment.
  • Produces complete joint penetration welds meeting visual/ultrasonic inspection.
  • Cleans and repairs welds with grinders and gougers; inspects for defects.

🎯 Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and tape measure.
  • Certification or prior welding experience with passing the DIS-TRAN Welder II test.
  • Capable of producing complete joint penetration welds per AWS D1.1.
  • GMAW experience required; read welding symbols.
  • Crane/moving machinery experience and weld gauges preferred.
