Wet Laboratory Technician

📋 Description

• Perform routine sample decompositions and leaches on geological materials
• Perform a variety of decomposition and leaching methods as per SGS’ Standard Operating Procedures
• Clean labware and equipment
• Make basic reagents as necessary
• Provide feedback to supervisors regarding any issues encountered during procedures
• Verify and adjust calibrations on lab equipment including dispensers, pipettes, balances

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum High school diploma; degree or diploma in Chemistry related field preferred
• 0-1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent education
• Strong analytical and mechanical skills
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Ability to perform routine bench tests
• Willingness to learn new analytical tests, instrumentation and procedures
