The Role

We are looking for an individual with outstanding financial and strategic analysis skills, great communication skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Excel and experience building financial models. They will be comfortable working with both finance individuals as well as operational teams in order to obtain information and share analyses. The Senior Financial Analyst will report into the Senior Vice President, Finance.

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $100,000 - $130,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above) and an annual performance bonus.

You Will Be

  • Assisting in the development of the five-year strategic plan, as well as the annual operating plan, including developing templates, working with departments on their inputs, reviewing/testing assumptions and, preparing materials for presentation to management and the Board.
  • Preparing the monthly financial reporting package including analyzing and investigating P&L and Balance Sheet variances between plan, prior year, and actuals.
  • Continuing to develop the rolling forecast process working with management and service leadership to enhance accuracy and provide insight into future performance.
  • Managing the preparation of the monthly operational metrics including developing and enhancing metrics as the business changes, preparing visualizations to share insights, and distributing information to management.
  • Serving as a trusted business partner across the agency helping to solve ad hoc business questions.
  • Partnering with accounting on the month-end close, annual audit, and other analyses.
  • You Must Have

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance, Strategy, or Data Analysis role.
  • A strong quantitative background.
  • Exceptional Excel skills – experience with building financial models in Excel.
  • Experience with business intelligence reporting software and/or database structures preference (i.e. Looker, Tableau, Business Objects, Domo, BiqQuery, etc).
  • SQL experience preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Intacct, Oracle, or other enterprises financial software preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative disciplines.MBA preferred.
