Federal Segment Marketing Manager

The Federal Segment Marketing Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the sales organization to develop and execute an end-to-end marketing strategy and deliver an integrated plan to help build awareness, build and strengthen relationships and drive pipeline and revenue growth.

Granicus is a remote first company. While we have virtual teams, you have the option for in-office work should you be located near one of our hubs.

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary $100,000-$135,000 + bonus + benefits

What you will be doing:

  • Develop the federal marketing strategy to help meet or exceed the revenue goals
  • Build and execute targeted programs and activities
  • Serve as the point of contact to the Federal sales organization
  • Work closely with the marketing communications team to drive awareness through our digital properties and story placements in the media Develop vertical specific solution messaging and content, based on an understanding of customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape in alignment with the corporate strategy
  • Collaborate with the cross functional marketing teams to drive pipeline
  • Track and measure program results, marketing contribution, and return on marketing investment.
  • Create content for email marketing, social media, and other digital platforms
  • Work closely with key select Channel partners to build integrated demand generation plans that align to Public Sector objectives
  • Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and owning the marketing strategy to drive demand generation, thought leadership, relationship building and program execution.
  • Work with cross collaborative team of writers, designers, operations professionals, subject matter experts, product marketing managers and more to create programs that are impactful to the business.
  • Oversees virtual events, tradeshows, exhibitions, or brand-led events related to relevant campaigns.
  • Manage multiple channels where your market leaders will see Granicus content and messaging, ranging from marketing emails to LinkedIn Ads to BDRs
  • Foster relationships with key associations, conference contacts, and influencers in the marketspace
  • Build programs for full funnel lifecycles for individuals, accounts, and different personas
  • ABM and vertical based program planning and execution
  • Reporting on all program marketing activities within your campaign to marketing, sales, and executive leadership
  • Qualifications
  • 7+ years government marketing experience, in the technology field. Government marketing experience a must.
  • Project management skills and an understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
  • Possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment where functioning autonomously and collaborating as part of a team are equally important
  • Experience working in key marketing systems, such as Marketo, Salesforce, Asana, and Zoom Webinars
  • Comfortable working with extended marketing teams to create great assets for campaigns
  • Strong track record of leading campaign and marketing programs.
  • Self-starter with the curiosity to expand the scope of assigned projects and tasks as needed
  • Experience working with distributed geographic teams
  • Background in campaign management or demand generation
  • Federal government marketing experience is a MUST
  • Positive attitude, solid work ethic, strong organization and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of sales needs
