Aerodynamics Engineer I

📋 Description

• Develop and execute CFD analyses to solve novel challenges in vehicle entry stability and control
• Validate CFD approaches and establish CFD best practices for ascent and entry
• Scope and develop aerodynamics databases for ascent/entry with CFD, wind tunnel, and data
• Drive design of Terran R fins, flaps, and primary structure for control and heating
• Guide and mentor hardware engineers to meet aerodynamics and system requirements
• Mature Relativity’s tools for aerodynamics data, including code, databases, and processing tools

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or related field
• Proficiency in compressible flow
• Practical engineering experience from projects, internships, or labs
• Experience solving challenging technical problems in teams
• Familiarity with Python or Matlab
• Exposure to CFD tools like FUN3D or Star-CCM+
