Assistant General Counsel – Product and Regulatory Legal (EU)

📋 Description

• Own cross-functional product counselling for European Union launches from discovery to design
• Advise on regulatory perimeter and classification of new offerings across MiFID II, MiFIR, MiCA
• Advise on payments and electronic money offerings including the Krak card and account propositions
• Advise on banking-related questions in the European Union including bank partnerships, sponsor-bank
• Monitor and interpret EU legislative and supervisory developments, participate in consultations
• Draft and negotiate client-facing terms and conditions

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer admitted in Ireland, England and Wales, or another EU Member State
• 15 or more years' PQE in financial services regulatory law at a regulated institution or leading
• Deep knowledge of at least two of: MiFID II/MiFIR, MiCA, EU payment services and e-money
• Ability to analyse novel products against overlapping regimes and give clear classification and
• Direct experience managing senior regulator relationships
• Working knowledge of AML/CTF, outsourcing, operational resilience, DORA
