Associate General Counsel, Legal & Business Affairs - Privacy & Litigation

📋 Description

• Own Roku's corporate litigation portfolio outside of intellectual property — including consumer
• Define case strategy and make recommendations on when to litigate, settle, or escalate, in
• Manage government investigations and inquiries — from the FTC, state attorneys general, data
• Coordinate cross-functional responses to regulatory matters, including with Privacy, Security
• Develop novel legal theories and creative litigation strategies for matters that don’t fit a
• Operate comfortably amid incomplete facts, unsettled law, and genuine uncertainty — and make sound

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of combined litigation experience at a law firm, in-house, or both
• Substantial experience managing complex litigation at a top-tier law firm or in-house — including
• Direct experience litigating consumer class actions and/or handling government investigations
• Skilled at developing litigation strategy and managing outside counsel to efficient, well-reasoned
• A track record of finding creative, non-obvious solutions to hard legal problems
• Genuinely comfortable operating without a clear precedent or roadmap — able to make sound judgment
