Associate, Postsecondary Workforce Advisor, KIPP Forward

📋 Description

• Full-time field-based role in the NYC metro area with frequent travel across NYC/tri-state.
• Manage advisory caseload of 150–200 alumni pursuing postsecondary pathways.
• Provide individualized coaching and support during the first two years after high school.
• Build trusting relationships via in-person advising, site visits, and regular check-ins.
• Assess strengths, goals, and barriers; create personalized plans for credentials and employment.
• Utilize approved platforms (texting and social media) to engage alumni and share opportunities.

🎯 Requirements

• Commitment to KIPP Forward mission and educational equity.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree; bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience with young adults from underserved communities.
• Experience advising/coaching students in CTE, workforce development, or career readiness.
• Demonstrated ability to build authentic relationships and motivate students.
• Strong coaching, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Travel frequently across NYC and tri-state area; valid driver's license preferred.
• Demonstrates KIPP NYC core values and commitment to continuous learning.
