📋 Description

• Lead and mentor automation service engineers; manage shifts for continuous lab support.
• Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of automated lab equipment.
• Design, install, and integrate new automation systems; perform IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Improve automation efficiency and throughput; collaborate with ops, R&D, and QC.
• Manage vendor relations; negotiate contracts; coordinate equipment issues.
• Oversee budget and inventory; maintain equipment records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (FDA/ISO); enforce safety procedures.
• Monitor KPIs and report to senior management; propose data-driven improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Automation, or related field; MS preferred.
• Proven Lab Automation Engineering Manager or similar leadership in diagnostics.
• 4+ years leading/troubleshooting high-throughput lab equipment; liquid handlers preferred.
• Knowledge of automation systems, robotics, PLCs, sensors; hands-on maintenance.
• Customer-focused with problem-solving and independent decision-making.
• Proven leadership and team-building ability.
• Familiarity with FDA/ISO compliance; CLIA experience preferred.
• Strong communication; ability to explain tech to non-technical stakeholders.
