Battery Engineer I/II

📋 Description

• Prioritize safety in all lab work, from test setup and battery operation through end-of-life
• Execute and interpret electrochemical tests on iron electrodes and cells in lab- and large-scale
• Prepare and characterize electrode samples pre- and post-test (for example SEM, EDS, BET, XRD, PSA)
• Support and help improve electrochemical testing by writing and running test protocols
• Wrangle and organize data from test stands and electrochemical cells, identify trends, and provide
• Build the technical foundation in the anode technology and contribute to team problem-solving

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Master's a plus) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Engineering
• 0-3 years of experience in electrochemistry, battery testing, or materials characterization
• Foundational understanding of electrochemistry and/or materials science; hands-on aptitude for lab
• For Engineer II, experience with aqueous battery systems (full cells or flow cells)
• Comfort handling and analyzing data; familiarity with Python, JMP, or similar
• Familiarity with SQL fundamentals preferred
