Bereavement Program Coordinator

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee bereavement services, including staff and volunteer coordination.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate programs that support families through the grieving process.
• Create educational resources and support materials for families, staff, and community members.
• Plan and facilitate bereavement support groups, memorial services, and community events.
• Monitor bereavement follow-up completed by patient care staff and volunteers to ensure timely
• Partner with the Volunteer Coordinator to train and integrate volunteers into bereavement services.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Theology, or a
• Experience in hospice, palliative care, grief counseling, or bereavement services strongly
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to develop educational materials and facilitate presentations or support groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
