Category Manager Plastic

📋 Description

• Develop, manage, and execute global category strategies for Plastic aligned with Hunter Douglas
• Lead end-to-end competitive sourcing events, including requirements gathering, market analysis
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and deliver year-over-year cost reductions, payment-term
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct periodic business reviews to ensure service-level
• Analyze category spend and market intelligence to identify new savings, productivity, material
• Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics and KPIs, using data-driven insights to improve

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s/University degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a relevant field required.
• 5–7 years of progressive sourcing or relevant Supply Chain experience managing materials.
• Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment required.
• Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and manufacturing-related
• Experience with wood, plastics, finished goods, engineering, and/or manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP/MRP systems and their application within a manufacturing environment.
