Compliance Associate

📋 Description

• Own AML operations for CCAU: monitor, screen, SMR lodgement with AUSTRAC, investigations.
• Conduct CDD and EDD reviews on flagged accounts with defensible decisions.
• Support AFSL obligations under the Corporations Act, including registers and ASIC reports.
• Draft and update compliance policies; maintain document controls and review cycles.
• Manage complaints handling per RG 271; maintain complaints register and metrics.
• Log, assess, and escalate compliance incidents; support breach reporting.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years AML operations experience or strong regulated FS compliance.
• Direct AUSTRAC reporting experience (SMR lodgements, txn monitoring).
• Screening experience: name screening, sanctions, PEP checks; escalation decisions.
• Strong understanding of AFSL obligations under the Corporations Act (CFD/margin FX).
• Strong judgement; able to assess, decide, document, and escalate.
• Excellent written communication; clear, evidenced decisions.
