Compliance EDD & High Risk Client Team Lead

📋 Description

• Oversee and review high-risk individual/retail client cases within SLAs.
• Lead complex EDD reviews (PEPs, adverse media, SoW/SoF) and guide analysts.
• Act as primary escalation point for the team; liaise with MLROs.
• Oversee high-risk client off-boarding per policy and regulations.
• Monitor output quality; drive improvements to EDD workflows and SOPs.
• Maintain up-to-date AML/CFT and crypto knowledge for clients.
• Manage high-risk escalations from the first line and other units.
• Draft documentation: policies, procedures, guidance, training, impact analyses.
• Build and maintain relationships with MLROs and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor team; lead AML/CFT training and foster high performance.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in AML/KYC compliance with EDD focus.
• At least 2 years in a senior/lead role.
• Proven EDD experience: PEPs, adverse media, SoW/SoF.
• Proficiency with World-Check, ComplyAdvantage, Elliptic.
• Strong AML/CFT knowledge in crypto or financial services.
• Knowledge of global licensing for financial services and crypto.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and team leadership.
• CAMS or equivalent certification preferred.
• Crypto or fintech experience a strong advantage.
