Corporate Counsel, Public Sector and Regulated Offerings

📋 Description

• Provide frontline legal counseling for Okta’s most regulated environments.
• Partner with business and technology teams to guide Public Sector solutions.
• Drive legal strategy for regulated offerings (FedRAMP, GovRAMP, DoD SRG).
• Balance business objectives with risk mitigation; bridge legal, engineering, compliance, security, and sales.
• Support high-velocity product development within complex regulatory frameworks.
• Embed with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Security from conception to launch.

🎯 Requirements

• 5-7+ years of legal practice; 2+ years focused on U.S. Public Sector and Regulated Products.
• Tech Fluency: Proven track record supporting IT products and SaaS models.
• Regulatory Depth: Knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tech regs.
• J.D. from a top school and active Bar; undergrad in a technical field a plus.
• Self-Starter: Roll up your sleeves; comfortable handling issues on first impression.
• Agility: Maintain high standards and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Military J.A. or U.S. Federal service experience a plus.
