Designer III

📋 Description

• Create and maintain parts, assemblies, and production drawings in SolidWorks in support of NPD
• Translate product requirements into detailed design solutions that meet performance, cost, timing
• Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) with an understanding of downstream impacts, ensuring
• Function as an integrated member of the Design Team, following the guidance of senior members of
• Prepare top-level CAD models for, and lead, cross-functional design reviews and virtual builds
• Perform basic design checks including: interference checks, clearance checks, and motion studies

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design or Engineering-related field is
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and drafting
• Proficiency in computer-aided drafting techniques and standard engineering practices, with the
• Proficiency with SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD); PDM experience is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including sheet metal fabrication and injection
