📋 Description

• Attend and actively contribute to Board meetings and, where applicable, Board committees.
• Provide oversight and constructive challenge on the Company’s strategy, objectives and performance.
• Oversee the effectiveness of governance, risk management, internal controls and compliance
• Oversee the Company’s financial soundness, including capital adequacy.
• Review financial reporting, budgets and key business reports presented to the Board.
• Promote a strong compliance and ethical culture at Board level.

🎯 Requirements

• A university diploma or equivalent along with a 5+ years of experience in the financial services
• Successful completion of CIRO’s Director and Executive Exam, or the Partners, Directors and Senior
• Willingness to go through the CIRO approval process as a Director; prior approval as a Director/UDP
• Strong working knowledge of the Canadian financial services regulatory framework.
• Experience in retail financial services, ideally brokerage, OTC derivatives or leveraged products.
• Board, governance or senior oversight experience in a regulated environment.
