• Lead Forward Deployed AI Engineering team and set hiring standards.
• Drive build-versus-buy decisions across the AI portfolio with execs.
• Partner with Data Platform to ensure AI-ready data, governance, and access.
• Set the standard for AI infrastructure: evals, prompts, observability.
• Own the technical AI tooling budget and deliver against business outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in software engineering, applied AI, or tech leadership.
• Deep fluency in modern AI: LLMs, agents, retrieval, evals, prompts.
• Shipped production AI systems at scale; understands failures and costs.
• Led tech orgs through ambiguity and fast-moving environments.
• Strong product and business judgment across functions; translate problems to plans.
• Clear build-vs-buy stance with real money on the line.
