Director, Business Development + Strategy

📋 Description

• Prospect and build relationships with leagues, teams, and media daily.
• Negotiate term sheets and deal structures from framing to signed agreements.
• Build business cases and commercial models for deals; present to stakeholders.
• Own the BD pipeline for sports/media; keep deals current and visible.
• Coordinate with marketing, product, legal, tech, and finance to move deals.
• Create and maintain trackers, memos, and decks to keep the team aligned.
• Identify new partnership categories and propose with rationale.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in BD/partnerships, with sports/media deals.
• Background in consulting or investment banking.
• Proven track record closing agreements with leagues, teams, or media.
• Ability to manage a complex multi-track pipeline with multiple deals.
• Experience building commercial models and internal business cases.
• High autonomy; able to find the path forward independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication; concise memos and pitches.
• Plus: existing relationships with major sports leagues, teams, or media.
