Director, Credit Risk

📋 Description

• Lead underwriting, portfolio management, and credit risk for Brex's existing portfolio.
• Develop and execute portfolio strategies balancing growth, CX, and performance.
• Partner cross-functionally to deliver scalable, customer-centric credit decisions.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of managers and credit professionals.
• Build relationships with CFOs to evaluate complex credit scenarios and support customer success.
• Drive operational excellence by improving underwriting workflows and portfolio monitoring.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in commercial credit risk, underwriting, portfolio management, or related fintech/finance.
• Deep expertise evaluating financial statements, cash flow, balance sheets, and credit exposure.
• Experience managing commercial customer portfolios, underwriting, monitoring, and credit lines.
• Strong understanding of commercial credit products and decision-making.
• Proven experience leading high-performing teams in fintech/financial services.
• Excellent communication and executive presence; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
