Director of Security Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead a team of senior and staff security engineers; own roadmap, standards, and budget.
• Build security engineering across the full code-to-cloud lifecycle; senior leadership role.
• Set functional strategy with the CISO; translate into operational plans and policy.
• AI-first security delivery: apply AI to help engineers write better code.
• Partner with product to mature cloud defense platform and AI workload protection.
• Represent security with executives and major customers to drive outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in security or software engineering; 4+ years leading engineers.
• Demonstrated partnership with engineering teams.
• Experience using AI and agentic tooling to deliver security capabilities.
• Product-partnership instinct; able to engage executives and customers on security matters.
• Technical foundations in cloud and Kubernetes security, infrastructure-as-code, and modern CI/CD.
• View of ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2 Type II as continuous assurance to automate.
