Director, Regulatory Financial Reporting Actuary

📋 Description

• Serve as Appointed Regulatory Financial Reporting Actuary for designated entities.
• Oversee SAO on reserves and related regulatory filings.
• Ensure NAIC requirements and state insurance regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulators during reviews.
• Develop, review, and certify reserves; monitor adequacy and methods.
• Advise leadership on actuarial impact of strategic initiatives and regs.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related quantitative field.
• FSA designation required; MAAA membership.
• 10+ years actuarial life experience; 5+ years in financial reporting.
• Prior experience as Valuation Actuary or Appointed Actuary preferred.
• Strong SAP and GAAP knowledge; RBC/ORSA familiarity.
• Proficiency with data analytics tools: SQL, R, Python.
