Director, Retention Analytics

📋 Description

• Own measurement, modeling, experimentation, and forecasting for member retention
• Define cancellation reasons, retention, persistency, and save rate, reconciled with BI, the Chief
• Analyze voluntary churn (retainable vs. non-retainable cancellation) with survival curves by
• Analyze involuntary churn, including payment-failure view (decline code, card brand, funding type
• Assess channel quality by attribution by partner and partner rep, ranking campaigns by retained
• Link NPS/CSAT movement to retention at the segment level

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in analytics with meaningful time in subscription, insurance, or other renewal-based
• Advanced SQL with experience working independently in a modern warehouse
• Retention and survival analysis expertise: cohorts, survival curves, hazard modeling, and judgment
• Experimentation depth, including tests that changed real decisions and rigor to discern noise
• Forecasting with accountability for accuracy
• Ability to bring unwelcome findings to executives and hold position
